Section Jin Li Born into a musical family in Guangzhou, Jin Li began piano studies at four with his mother and violin studies at five with Pan Zhouhan. In 1979 he studied with Yang Jianhua at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music and in 1980 he was admitted into Yehudi Menuhin School on full scholarship. In 1989 he studied with renowned violinist Josef Gingold at Indiana University. Jin Li has performed with many orchestras and at festivals including the International Modern Music Festival (New York) and Yellow River Music Festival Music Festival (Hongkong). In 1986 he was invited to perform in Japan and in 1987 he concertized extensively in France, West Germany, Holland, Belgium, Spain and Italy. Back to musician list
