Synopsis: |
Claude Delangle brings the sultry sounds of the saxophone to this exquisite concert, featuring the Middle Eastern influences of Ibert's Concertino da Camera, two pieces by the acknowledged master of Argentinian tango Astor Piazzolla, as well as the playful Escapades, the concert version of John Williams' Oscar-nominated score for the movie Catch Me If You Can. From another Oscar-winning film composer, Luis Bacalov, comes the fascinating Misa Tango, combining an adaptation of the classic liturgical Mass with the rhythms of the tango.
