Synopsis: |
Sharon Bezaly joins the SSO in the much-anticipated world premiere of Zhou Long's Five Elements. The failure of his First Symphony caused Rachmaninov to approach his Second with much trepidation, but it would turn out to be an expansive work filled with inspired and memorable melodies which won the Glinka prize the year it was premiered.
