Inspired by impressions of Spain,
Ibéria is the most popular of Debussy's three orchestral
Images. The
Fantaisie has had a mysterious past: after rehearsals had begun for its premiere, Debussy inexplicably withdrew it from the performance, and it was never again played in public during his lifetime. On a sunnier note, be delighted by two Spanish-inspired familiar favourites,
Bolero and
España.
