BRASS

Brass instruments are brass tubes, narrow at one end and gradually widening until it reaches the bell. The brass family consists of the trumpet, horn, tuba, trombone and the cornet.

In orchestral pieces, brass instruments help fill out the overall body of sound. You can also hear them issuing military fanfares, imitating the bugle in traditional hunting calls, or bursting forth dramatically at the summit of pieces.
