KEYBOARD

In addition to the main sections of the orchestra i.e. the Strings, Woodwinds, Brass and Percussion sections, the following keyboard instruments are sometimes part of the orchestra.

The piano is frequently added as a part of the Percussion section especially in music of the 20th and 21st centuries, while the pipe organ and harpsichord are sometimes added as part of the orchestra in Baroque music.
