TEMPLE BLOCKS

Temple blocks are typically a set of five hollow wooden (or hard plastic) blocks of different sizes with a slit through the middle which produce a sound when struck with a stick or mallet. Temple blocks are regarded as unpitched instruments, but do have an element of pitch. The sound pitches higher or lower, depending on their size; the smaller the temple block the higher the pitch.
