The violin, which plays the role of soprano in the string family, produces the brightest sound among the string instruments.
HISTORY
The violin was first developed in the 16th century in Italy. However, the more famous violin makers are the Stradivarius, Amati and Guarneri families in the late 16th and 17th centuries. Their violins are very rare and costly today. |
