The SSC Affair (Online)

Synopsis

The SSC Affair is back, and we're going online in this experiential choral programme designed to offer a unique insight into what it’s like being a Singapore Symphony Chorus member. Be guided by Choral Director Eudenice Palaruan and members of the SSC in workshops involving classical choral training, performance tips and vocal techniques as well as an opportunity to learn choral classics. Participants will also have the chance to sing a newly arranged work, Dona Nobis Pacem, as a virtual choir.

Please note that the classical repertoire may include liturgical works.

Recommended for choristers ages 28 to 65: Participants should have some (past or current) choral experience, an ability to read music is advantageous but not compulsory.

(i) Chorus-only workshops
(ii) Chorus and voice workshops
(iii) Musicianship & Score Reading Lessons (New!)

For choristers interested in exploring their solo voice, there will be opportunity to work 1-on-1 with voice clinicians. Limited slots available.

• Choristers will get to partake in workshops that would include classical choral training, performance tips and vocal techniques.
• For choristers interested in exploring their solo voice, there will be an opportunity to work 1-on-1 with voice clinicians.
• Choristers who find interest in learning basic musicianship skills e.g. note reading, may choose to explore our musicianship and score reading lessons.

Schedule

• Online programme spanning 3 weeks
• Chorus workshops and voice workshops run concurrently
• Musicianship & Score Reading lessons will be conducted after each evening session
