Synopsis
There is a famous little tale of musical friendship and understanding about Mozart and his favourite pet bird, a starling who could sing a theme from his Piano Concerto No. 17. Join pianist Chiyan Wong as he performs this delightful gem with preeminent Chinese-American conductor Xian Zhang. Mozart’s stately 39th Symphony and the intriguing L'Éloignement for string orchestra by contemporary Chinese-French composer Qigang Chen complete this programme.
24 Feb concert: SSO-FRCS (Foundation of Rotary Clubs Singapore) Joint Fundraising Concert with proceeds going to both the FRCS Eldercare and Caregivers Centre and the SSO.
Special fundraising seats for Fri, 24 Feb 2023 are available for donation amounts of $300, $1,000, $2,000, and $5,000. Proceeds will be recognised as donations, and Singapore tax residents will qualify for a 2.5 times tax deduction on the fundraiser. Admission Advice
- Children must be age 7 and above to be admitted into the hall.
- Children under 7 will not be admitted into the hall, even with a ticket.
- Please bring along proof of child’s age, such as a student concession pass, as random checks may be conducted at the venue.
- We reserve the right to ask parents to bring children out of the hall should they be disruptive during the performance.
- No admission without a ticket.
- You are strongly advised to be seated 15 minutes before the performance start time.
- Latecomers will only be admitted at appropriate pauses during the show or during intermission, if any.
- Photos, video and audio recording are strictly NOT allowed when artistes are performing.
- These are allowed when artistes are not performing, such as during bows and applause. Please disable camera flash before taking photos.
