Duration: 2 hrs 10 mins (with 20-min intermission)
An evening of enchantment awaits: Scheherazade, heroine of A Thousand and One Nights, and the title of Rimsky-Korsakov’s symphonic tale of fantastical lands and daring adventures. French conductor Ludovic Morlot brings this magical score to life and accompanies the poetic virtuosity of Korean violinist Ye-Eun Choi in Beethoven's exuberant Violin Concerto.
“...has a distinguished, recognizable sound and commands an excellent, instinctive feel for the music. She ranks among the most talented of violinists.”
Anne-Sophie Mutter on Ye-Eun Choi
A colourful and endlessly melodic programme sure to please, with this young Korean star violinist.
