Singapore Symphony Group has integrated a state-of-the-art recording facility managed by two international tonmeisters into the Victoria Concert Hall (VCH), making it the only concert hall in Asia for both live and closed-door recordings of classical and acoustic music.
Named after Singapore-based philanthropists and sponsors Mr and Mrs Christopher and Rosy Ho, Rose Studio uses the VCH stage and its natural hall acoustics as a recording space, and features a recording control room with both mixing and editing facilities. With two Steinway Model D concert grand pianos and a 2,012-pipe 31-stop manual Klais organ, the 673-seat VCH is now a perfect venue for performances and recordings of solo keyboard to small and medium-sized chamber ensembles.
