The new principal conductor of the Singapore Symphony Orchestra Hans Graf (Hans Graf) arrived in Singapore to gather with the orchestra and record his first two online concerts since he took office.
In an interview with Lianhe Zaobao, Graf, who is over 70 years old, said bluntly that it has become really difficult to enter the concert hall. He has not performed for nearly four months. Being able to stand on the stage and play together with the musicians, he felt everyone's sincere joy.
In order to ensure a safe distance, the lineup of musicians has been reduced, and wind musicians have faced many restrictions, which makes the orchestra more cautious when selecting repertoires. However, Graf emphasized that the orchestra selects chamber music works by famous artists. Although the lineup of musicians is small, the music is not light.
