The Singapore Symphony Group (SSG), which manages Singapore’s flagship orchestra, has appointed three new members to its Board: Mr Andrew Yeo, Partner, Allen & Gledhill LLP; Ms Yasmin Zahid, Head of Affiliate & B2B Distribution, WarnerMedia; and Mr Qin Li-Wei, Professor, National University of Singapore.

In addition to the Singapore Symphony Orchestra (SSO), the Group manages the Singapore National Youth Orchestra and three choruses, namely, the Singapore Symphony Chorus, Singapore Symphony Children’s Choir and Singapore Symphony Youth Choir. SSG also runs the Singapore representative office of the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM).

Mr Goh Yew Lin, Chairman of the Singapore Symphony Group, said:

“I am delighted to welcome Andrew, Yasmin and Li-Wei to the SSG family. They are all highly respected leaders in their different fields. Combined with the experience and skills of continuing board members, we will together move forward in our mission to create for Singaporeans memorable shared experiences with music.”

“We wish to express our gratitude to Mr Heinrich Grafe, Mr Ang Chek Meng and Mr Kelly Tang who have recently retired from the Board, as well as Mr Lionel Choi and Mrs Odile Benjamin who stepped down a year ago. All these wonderful people contributed a lot of time, expertise and energy to drive the SSG’s rapid growth in the past decade. We will always be grateful for their contributions and look forward to their continued support of the SSG’s mission.”

Through the Orchestra and its affiliated performing groups, SSG spreads the love for music, nurtures talent and enriches diverse communities.
