Due to unforeseen circumstances, Ingrid Fliter has regretfully cancelled her appearance at the Singapore International Piano Festival on 2 June 2019. Pianist Louis Schwizgebel has graciously agreed to step in for Ms Fliter for this recital at the Victoria Concert Hall. Louis Schwizgebel will also conduct a masterclass in place of Ms Fliter on 3 June 2019.

A stellar representative of his generation of pianists, 31-year-old Swiss-Chinese pianist Louis Schwizgebel has won a steady stream of acclaim with his performances all over Europe, the US and China. Hailed repeatedly for the clarity of his playing and exceptional fingerwork, his 2012 second prize win at the prestigious Leeds International Piano Competition was described as "a performance of staggering refinement and sensitivity" (The Arts Desk).

In his SIPF debut, the 2013-2015 BBC New Generation Artist will perform a programme of Chopin, Schubert and French fare, concluding spectacularly with Pictures at an Exhibition.
