One of Asia's leading orchestras, the SSO provides artistic inspiration through its recordings, international tours, outreach and education, chamber music, and over 60 concerts a year. Under the baton of Music Director Hans Graf, the SSO regularly performs at the world-renowned Esplanade Concert Hall and the Victoria Concert Hall, Home of the SSO, in Singapore.

The Senior Executive, Orchestra Management, oversees the administration of personnel and daily operations within the orchestra. The role supports production activities, ensures the well-being of musicians, and provides efficient administrative support to the department.
REPORTS TO: Head, Orchestra Management
SUPERVISES: NIL
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Coordinate administrative matters for freelance musicians.
- Prepare the monthly Esplanade temporary artiste-pass list, including gathering and compiling names and passport details of freelance musicians, guest conductors, guest soloists, recording engineers, and any other guests, visitors, or business associates requiring access to Esplanade Back-of-House.
- Maintain and update records on SSO musicians’ time off, attendance, and work rosters.
- Distribute rehearsal orders and work schedules, and communicate changes or updates to musicians.
- Maintain the Musicians’ notice board and assist in communications with musicians as required.
- Assist with the administrative coordination of auditions.
- Provide secretariat support for the Musicians’ Committee.
- Coordinate activities with other departments for special projects involving musicians.
- Assist in coordinating with other departments for concert production.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Head, Orchestra Management.
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum diploma holder with 1 year of work experience. Applicants with more relevant years of experience may be considered for a higher position at a suitable remuneration
- Knowledge of orchestral instruments and orchestra operations is preferred
- An eye for accuracy and attention to details
- Strong planning and organizational skills
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Proficiency in computer software, e.g. Microsoft Office suite
- A team player with the ability to work well with diverse personalities
- Flexibility to work nights and weekends when needed
