Gil Shaham & Akira Eguchi – Beethoven Violin Sonatas

Ahead of Beethoven’s 200th anniversary in 2027, violinist Gil Shaham and pianist Akira Eguchi will perform all ten of the composer’s violin sonatas. Nine of these were written between 1797 and 1803, with the final sonata composed in 1812. Together, these works advanced the genre by elevating the violin‑piano partnership into a unified voice of the great composer.
