Hannu Lintu Inaugural Series

The Singapore Symphony launches its 2026/27 season with the Hannu Lintu Inaugural Series, opening with a bold contemporary focus: a newly commissioned work by Singaporean composer Tan Chan Boon alongside Mason Bates’s Nomad Concerto, with its "mysterious and soulful music of the wanderer".

In this inaugural series, Music Director Hannu Lintu explores the expressive breadth of orchestral and operatic storytelling—from the incandescent sunrise of Strauss’s Thus Spoke Zarathustra to the shadowed depths of Bartók’s Bluebeard’s Castle, a chilling tale of curiosity, desire and doom.
