UPCOMING FREE CONCERTS FROM THE SSO: LUNCHTIME CONCERT @ VCH; SYMPHONY IN THE GARDENS: GARDENS BY THE BAY
On 12 and 15 March the SSO performs two free concerts. The first will be held in the Victoria Concert Hall at 12.30pm and the second sees the orchestra heading out of the concert hall for its Symphony in the Gardens series, this time held at Gardens by the Bay.
Both concerts are conducted by Singaporean Darrell Ang and include classical favourites by Lully, Tchaikovsky and Prokofiev. Plus, the orchestra’s Principal Horn, Han Chang Chou, is the soloist in Mozart’s much-loved Second Horn Concerto.
On 15 March the orchestra continues its hugely popular Symphony in the Gardens series with a performance in The Meadow at Gardens by the Bay at 6.30pm. This event is perfect for families – and even your four-legged friends are welcome to enjoy the music. Though there’ll be no Pooch-ini or Pug-anini on the programme this time round…
Both concerts are completely free, though registration is required for the Lunchtime Concert at Victoria Concert Hall. Please note that the previously announced SSO in Your Community concert at ITE College West on 14 March has now been cancelled.
