Symphony Ball Patronage
The SSO Symphony Ball, organised by the Singapore Symphony Group, is our annual gala event to raise funds for the SSO and its affiliated performing groups. Each year, the SSO Symphony Ball Committee, chaired by Ms Paige Parker, comes together to plan a magical evening filled with epicurean delights and music performed by our musicians.
Previously, the gala event was helmed by the SSO Ladies’ League, started by a group of dynamic ladies who banded together to raise funds for a pipe organ in order for the orchestra to expand its performing repertoire. In May 1984, the Klais organ was successfully installed at the Victoria Concert Hall. Since then, the SSO Ladies’ League raised more than $20 million through numerous benefit dinners, soirees, golf tournaments and other activities – all in the spirit of spreading the love for music, nurturing talent, and enriching our diverse communities.
Similarly, when you pledge a table at our Symphony Ball, your donation will contribute to our ability to invite world-class soloists, stage sophisticated productions, bring our performing groups on overseas tours, and share our music.

2026: Eine Nacht in Wien (A Night in Vienna)
The Symphony Ball returned on Saturday, 16 May 2026, and achieved a new milestone, raising $1.5 million in support of the Singapore Symphony Orchestra and its affiliated performing groups. Proceeds from the evening enable the SSO to deepen its engagement in youth education and community concerts, while continuing to represent Singapore on the global stage through international tours and acclaimed recordings.
2025: Straits Serenade
The 2025 Symphony Ball raised a record $1.4 million in commemoration of SG60, to support the SSO’s growth as Singapore’s national orchestra, enabling us to reach a wider community, and continue our work with the next generation through SNYO and our Choruses.
2024: Joie de Vivre
The SSO Benefit Dinner has been rebranded as the SSO Symphony Ball, under the refreshed Symphony Ball Committee, chaired by Ms Paige Parker. The Ball raised over $1.178 million on Saturday, 11 May 2024. More than 460 distinguished guests attended the social gathering, including President Tharman Shanmugaratnam as the Guest-of-Honour.
2023: A Symphony of Passion
The 2023 edition saw SSO and Food From the Heart join hands in an unprecedented joint benefit between the two charities. The dinner raised over $1.7 million, benefiting both charities equally.
2020 to 2022
From 2020 to 2022, the SSO Benefit Dinners were deferred due to the COVID-19 situation. We are grateful to our Benefit Dinner donors who raised $340,000 in outright donations even in the absence of the annual events, to support us during a difficult time.
2019: Rhapssody with the Symphony
In 2019, the SSO Benefit: Rhapssody with the Symphony was held on 30 March 2019 and raised $1.16 million.
2018: Fiesta Latina!
In 2018, the SSO Benefit: Fiesta Latina! was held on 21 April 2018 and raised over $1.1 million.
