Synopsis
The SSO presents the world premiere of A is for Aiyah, composed by young Singaporean composer Diana Soh, an alumnus of the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music and currently based in Paris. French soprano Élise Chauvin brings us on a journey of Mahlerian song through five lieder based on the poetry of Friedrich Rückert, and then the avant-garde theatre of Ligeti’s Mysteries of the Macabre.
