Programme Brochure
Synopsis
The three brothers Mark, Erik, and Ken Schumann have been playing music together since their early childhood, and together with German violist Veit Hertenstein form the Schumann Quartet. Join them with musicians of the Singapore Symphony Orchestra in this attractive programme of three gems from the chamber string repertoire: Debussy’s scintillating Danses for harp and strings, the evocative musings of Janáček’s “Kreutzer Sonata” (after Tolstoy) and Brahms’s heartfelt Romantic warmth.
