Synopsis
This powerhouse combination of famed Greek violin virtuoso Leonidas Kavakos and SSO Music Director-designate Hannu Lintu is one you won’t want to miss. Witness the full fury and ultimate triumph of Shostakovich in his relentless First Violin Concerto as well as his Seventh Symphony. Recorded in the history books for its role during the devastating 872-day Siege of Leningrad, the Leningrad Symphony is famed for being played there in 1942 under desperate circumstances and deliberately broadcast over public radio in bitter defiance at the enemy.

Admission Advice
- This concert is recommended for ages 7 and above.
- Parents or guardians of children who become disruptive during the performance may be requested by venue staff to step out of the hall with the child.
- Each individual must have a ticket for admission.
- Strictly no admission for infant-in-arms and toddlers.
- You are strongly advised to be seated 15 minutes before the performance start time.
- Latecomers will only be admitted at appropriate pauses during the show or during intermission, if any.
- Photos, video and audio recording are strictly NOT allowed when artistes are performing.
- These are allowed when artistes are not performing, such as during bows and applause. Please disable camera flash before taking photos.
