Bobur Eshpulatov

Born into a family of musicians in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, Bobur Eshpulatov began studying the violin at the age of four. He first gained international recognition as a young musician, winning the Grand Prix at the International “Blue Bird” Competition in Ukraine (2013) and the “Individualis” International Competition (2014). He has since developed an active international career as a soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral performer across Europe and Asia.

Bobur is a prizewinner at numerous international competitions, including First Prize at the Maria Cantagrill International Violin Competition in France (2025), Sixth Prize at the Qingdao International Violin Competition (2022), and Fifth Prize at the Khachaturian 120th Anniversary International Violin Competition (2023). He was also awarded Second Prize at the “Nouvelles Étoiles” International Competition (2020), where the First Prize was not awarded, and has been a finalist at competitions including the Eugène Ysaÿe International Violin Competition (2023), Tokyo Classic Violin Competition (2024), and Dubai Classic Violin Competition (2024).

As a performer, Bobur has appeared as a soloist with orchestras including the Armenian State Symphony Orchestra, National Symphony Orchestra of Uzbekistan, State Symphony Orchestra of Uzbekistan, the Chamber Orchestra “Soloists of Uzbekistan”, Youth Symphony Orchestra of Uzbekistan, and the Central Conservatory of Music Orchestra in China. He has also performed as a freelance musician with the Singapore Symphony Orchestra.

Alongside his performing career, Bobur has participated in international artistic and charitable projects, including the global initiative United in Music: A Virtual Charity Concert to Aid UNHCR’s Coronavirus Response, organised by the United Nations Refugee Agency.

His international appearances include collaborations with Aleksey Igudesman and Hyung-ki Joo in Singapore, guest performances with the South Asia Symphony Orchestra in India, participation in the Singapore–China Gala Symphony with the Shanghai Nine Trees Philharmonic Orchestra, and invitations from the Sun Symphony Orchestra in Hanoi.

Bobur holds a Bachelor of Music (Honours) in Violin Performance from the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music, National University of Singapore, where he studied under Professor Qian Zhou.
