Synopsis
30 May Update: We regret to announce that due to a delay in his flight, violinist He Ziyu is unable to arrive in time for the open rehearsal. As a result, Klenau’s Violin Concerto will not be rehearsed. Only Klenau’s Piano Concerto (30 mins) will be rehearsed with pianist Søren Rastogi. We deeply apologise for the disappointment caused.
In line with Safe Management Measures for events exceeding 500 attendees, only fully vaccinated, recovered, medically ineligible individuals, or children aged 12 and below (minimum 7) will be admitted. Refunds will not be granted to ticket-holders who do not meet these admission requirements.
Following the world premiere of Paul von Klenau’s Symphony No. 8 in 2021, the Singapore Symphony Orchestra under Chief Conductor Hans Graf embarks on the revival of the Piano Concerto (1944) and Violin Concerto (1922) by the 20th century Danish-born composer. These works will subsequently be recorded by the SSO for a world premiere release.
Please note that this is a rehearsal and the programme or flow is subject to change at the discretion of the performers. Photography and videography is NOT allowed at any time during the rehearsal.

Admission Advice
- Children must be age 7 and above to be admitted into the hall.
- Children under 7 will not be admitted into the hall, even with a ticket.
- Please bring along proof of child’s age, such as a student concession pass, as random checks may be conducted at the venue.
- Parents or guardians of children admitted are strongly encouraged to purchase/choose aisle seats.
- We reserve the right to ask parents to bring children out of the hall should they be disruptive during the rehearsal.
- No admission without a ticket.
