SSOPlayOn! Upcoming Events: Sibelius, Beethoven And Singapore Composer Emily Koh

The Singapore Symphony Orchestra continues its SSOPlayOn! digital concert season with music by Sibelius, Beethoven and Emily Koh this week. Plus, conductor Andrew Litton is the guest in our new interview series Conversations with the Artist.
On Wednesday 20 May, SSO fans can head to the YouTube channel to enjoy an archive performance of Emily Koh's work Jia[k], a work inspired by Singapore's iconic hawker centres. Launching the following day, Thursday 21 May, we're celebrating the viola with a specially curated Spotify playlist put together by SSO's Violists.
We continue our new interview series on Friday as SSO Principal Percussionist, Jon Fox, swaps his mallets for a microphone in Conversations with the Artist. Our Principal Guest Conductor Andrew Litton is in the hot-seat this week.
Saturday sees the return of the SSO Encore series, spotlighting a memorable performance from the orchestra's archive. Lan Shui conducts Sibelius's Finlandia and Nielsen's Third Symphony in a performance recorded live in 2015.
Finally, tune in to Symphony 924, our Official Radio Station, on Sunday at noon as Concert Classics on Symphony 924 continues: two hours of full-work performances by the SSO. On 24 May the programme celebrates the 250th anniversary of Beethoven.
