Joyce Huang
Violist Joyce Huang began her musical studies at the age of six on the piano and viola. She received her Bachelor’s degree from the Juilliard School and her Master’s degree from the Yale School of Music studying under the tutelage of Toby Appel and Ettore Causa.
Prior to her move to Singapore, she held the section viola position with the Suzhou Symphony Orchestra from 2016–2022. She has served as principal viola of the Juilliard Orchestra, Round Top Orchestra, and MMF Orchestra.
As a chamber musician, Huang has had the opportunity to work with members from some of the world’s leading quartets, including the Juilliard, Emerson, Brentano, and Shanghai Quartets.
In her spare time, Joyce enjoys coffee, travel, and spending time with her dog.
