These pieces were special favourites. Brahms 1875 Third String Quartet was his last, and also his own personal favourite. Beethoven’s youthfully vibrant Septet in E-flat from 1799 was enormously popular with the public during his lifetime, to the point that the composer feared it would overshadow his other works. The Schumann Quartet is again joined by musicians – including winds - of the Singapore Symphony in this second outing.
