FREE CONCERTS AT VICTORIA CONCERT HALL

Enjoy your morning at the Victoria Concert Hall Atrium on Sunday 27 October with Symphony in the City. This event features a diverse line-up including pianists, vocalists, pipa player Anne Ying Altorfer-Ong, and harpist Renee Yadav, Winner of the Young Talents Project 2017, Junior Category. The two performances – at 10am and 11am – will be presented by presenters from our official radio station, Symphony 92.4FM.

On Monday 4 November Singaporean organists Evelyn Lim and Joanna Paul team up to present a lunchtime recital of organ music. There’ll be clarion fanfares, jolly gigues and even a musical jaunt to Salamanca, Spain. There’ll also be a free tour of the Victoria Concert Hall after the concert (pre-registration is required).

On Monday 16 December, Organist Isaac Lee and SSO trombone player Samuel Armstrong join forces for this turn-of-the-20th-century programme taking you from Germany’s Rheinberger to England’s Holst. The concert culminates in Ives’s inspired Variations on America and French composer Guilmant’s highly acclaimed trombone masterpiece, the Morceau symphonique.
