The Temporary Programme Assistant’s main responsibility is to oversee all administrative and operational matters of the SSO Choral Programmes and its affiliated choral ensembles - Singapore Symphony Children’s Choir (SSCC), Singapore Symphony Youth Choir (SSYC), and the Singapore Symphony Chorus (SSC).


  • Assist with SSC’s 40th Anniversary plans
  • Support choral rebranding exercise
  • General administration of chorus membership; including recruitment, maintenance of membership database, and dissemination of information to members (and parents)
  • Attend production and technical meetings as required
  • Assist with backstage and logistical operations pertaining to rehearsals and performances
  • Manage Chorus marketing and social media.
  • Any other miscellaneous programming duties as required


  • Minimum diploma holder
  • Flexibility to work nights and weekends when needed
  • Effective oral/written communication skills
  • Proficiency in computer and computer software, e.g. Microsoft Office suite; knowledge in photoshop is a plus
  • Applicants must enjoy working and be able to communicate with people of all ages
  • Team player and ability to work well with a variety of personalities
  • Able to start immediately
  • Knowledge of classical music will come helpful, though not essential.
